We are looking for a nanny who can provide caregiving and housekeeping support. Our ideal candidate is honest, patient with children, and appreciates a comfortable and pleasant work environment. We are an easy-going family looking for someone who can help us look after our kids and take care of some of the chores around the house. We have 4 children, but at most two really require caregiving. My wife and I both work from home, so you should never be overwhelmed. The pace is mostly slow-moderate and if you aren’t able to get some things done, that’s okay too. Some screen time is okay, we are not too fussy. We do live right across from a park so it is easy to take the kids out. We are offering a choice of the following compensation packages: a) Live rent-free, for you and your family. Pay would be minimum wage plus up to 3 bedrooms in our legal suite. b) $18/hour and live-out. c) Negotiate something in-between Legal suite accommodations: - One private bedroom, high ceilings, complete kitchen, radiant in-floor heating, HRV, in-suite laundry. Internet, heat, and electricity are all included. Newer house built 2021. Walking distance to transit, grocery, and restaurants. Requirements/expectations: - 8 hours/day, Monday-Friday - Provide caregiving for up to 2 children - Preparing breakfast and lunch for up to 3 children - Preparing snacks - Children’s laundry as needed - Clean-up after meals and snacks, washing dishes, as needed - Clean-up toys - Change diapers as needed - Change clothes as needed - Reading, playing, children’s activities, taking kids to the park - Accompany child at Strong Start (school) - Work at a hurried pace for the first 30 minutes of the day. Easier pace for the rest of the day. Ideal, not required but will be preferred: - Family laundry up to 2 times per week - Vacuuming once per week - Other general cleaning Please contact me if you are interested.
