Saturday ECE Needed for a Fun, High-Energy Household (High Park Area)
Position: Part-Time ECE / Family Helper Schedule: Every Saturday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Ideal Start Date: January 10, 2026 Location: High Park (near Keele, Dundas West & Bloor UP stations) Wage: $25/hr + $6 transit stipend (paid weekly) Extras: Paid every week (including when we’re away) + 2 paid personal/vacation days annually ABOUT THE ROLE Hi, I'm Laura — a respectful, energetic mom running a lively household with three wonderful kids and two small dogs. I’m looking for an enthusiastic ECE or ECE student to join me every Saturday to help care for the kids, support our routines, and keep our home running smoothly. Saturdays are active and fun, with a mix of scheduled programs, outdoor adventures, creative play, and family outings. This is truly a partnership role: we’ll work together to make the day flow smoothly for the kids, the dogs, and the household. HOUSEHOLD SNAPSHOT Children: - 8-year-old daughter - 6-year-old son - 4-year-old son Dogs: Two 20 lb, non-shedding Ganaraskans (poodle/schnauzer/cocker spaniel/bichon mix) Dog Responsibilities: Three 30-minute walks (morning, midday, end of day) KEY RESPONSIBILTIES Childcare & Engagement: - Getting the kids ready for the day (dressing, brushing teeth, tidying bedrooms) -Supervising and engaging in play (arts & crafts, games, puzzles, LEGO, etc.) -Supporting outdoor play, outings, and transit-based adventures -Supervising occasional playdates Household Support: - Light housekeeping (tidying, making beds, breakfast cleanup) - Hanging, folding, putting away laundry - Helping maintain a smooth, organized environment Dog Care: - Walking the dogs three times daily (30 minutes each) - Supporting dog routines as part of the household flow SAMPLE SATURDAY SCHEDULE 8:30 AM – Morning dog walk 9:00 AM – Help get kids ready for the day 10:00 AM – Light housekeeping while kids are at swimming 11:15 AM – Playtime/activities with the kids 12:00 PM – Lunch 12:30 PM – Midday dog walk 1:00 PM – Break 1:30 PM – Afternoon activities (varies weekly) 5:00–5:30 PM – Final dog walk WHO SHOULD APPLY?
