Looking for a Nanny starting in October
Excitedly anticipating the arrival of our newborn baby in August, we are seeking a reliable, caring, and dog-friendly nanny to be part of our family and assist us primarily with baby-related tasks starting mid October 2025. This position will commence on a part-time basis (3-5 hours per day), focusing mainly on the infant's needs. Meanwhile, our 3-year-old daughter attends daycare daily, and therefore, the primary care responsibility doesn't extend to her initially. However, we hope to transition the hired nanny to a full-time role (8 hours per day) by January 2026. We have an adorable dog who requires occasional walks or feeding. Hence, we would appreciate an enthusiast who is comfortable around pets and willing to contribute to their care now and then. In addition to child care, light housekeeping duties such as keeping the kitchen tidy, doing children's laundry, and occasional cooking will be required. Of course, the priority will always be the baby, but if you enjoy cooking, it would be greatly beneficial. While the position does require a valid driver's license, the family will happily provide a car for use on the job. In terms of live-in or live-out, we are more inclined towards live-out. Even though errand-running/grocery shopping and transporting children aren't frequent task requirements, being able to drive allows for flexibility. The ideal nanny will be able to work from Monday to Friday, primarily during the morning and mid-day hours. Initially, expect to work between 20 to 30 hours per week, with increased hours once the position transitions to full-time in January 2026. With only one child requiring regular care, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and contributes positively to a young child's life while being comfortable in a lively home environment.
