Job Summary An engaging, calm and patient Nanny is needed for a sweet 1 year old baby and occasional care of their 3 year old sibling. We are looking for an experienced nanny who can take the child on walks to local activities, who is aware of age appropriate development milestones and who can conduct the child’s daily routines, outlined by the parents. The main focus of this role will be to care for the 1 year old. There may be times when the 3 year old is home from daycare and the nanny will be responsible for the care of both children. Household duties include- doing dishes, family meal prep, and laundry not only for the child but also for the family This position will start temporarily in Oakville until November when the family obtains their new home in Etobicoke. During the time the the Nanny has to commute to Oakville before the move, the family can be flexible with the hours. This family is vegetarian and no meat or fish is consumed in the home. Location:  Rebecca and Third Line, Oakville (from September 30-Nov) and Islington and Dundas W in Etobicoke (from Nov onward) Child's age: 1 year old and 3 year old Start Date: September 30 but flexible for the right fit. Contract length: 1 year contract to start. The family is looking for a long term fit Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play. Prepare and serve bottles, meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. Family meal prep Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as, family laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc. Conduct the children’s daily schedule include nap routines put in place by the parents Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Requirements/Qualifications 3+ years of Nanny experience in a private home 3+ years experience with young children ages 1-4 years of age 5+ years of experience working with children Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines and schedules. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
