We're a very busy young self employed family looking for a after school/ day camp nanny for our 7 year old son while we work. Typical hours would be from 3-630/7pm He plays with his neighborhood friends after school/camp almost every night, they play mostly outside and we are strict about no electronics (TV is OK within limits), so we need a nanny who will be able to help him stay busy and be OK with taking him on walks, scootering, biking around our community. We are a loving family of three in the Thornbury area. We are looking for someone to help care for our 21/2 year old boy for the summer. Schedule and pay negotiable. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable caregiver for our 12-year-old daughter who has developmental delays and is non-verbal. We are looking for someone who can commit to working 30 hours per week and can start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate would be someone who can provide child care and do household chores with a regular schedule each week, that will ideally include most Saturdays and Sundays. We are flexible about which days our new caregiver will work but would prefer to have Monday and Tuesday as days off. On weekdays (ideally Wed-Fri), your duties would start at 11am and end at 6pm . On Saturdays, we would like your help from 12pm until 5pm and will occasionally ask you to stay later for additional pay. On Sundays we would like help from 12-4pm. This role requires that you have a driver's license and your own car for errands and transporting our daughter both from school and on outings. We look forward to your creative ideas for outings for our daughter after school and on weekends. The ideal candidate will enjoy spending time outdoors, no matter the season, and is able to go swimming with our daughter at least once each week (usually daily in the summer). Other activities that she enjoys: bike rides, long walks, skating, playing at the beach, car rides, shopping. In addition to child care, your responsibilities would encompass some cooking, both light and complete housekeeping, plus occasionally walking the dog, running errands and grocery shopping. The candidate would be expected to prepare meals for our daughter (dinner and lunch) and to keep the kitchen tidy on a regular basis. Other duties involve doing the laundry for the family and assisting my daughter with bathing and dressing up. Please note that this position is a live-out role but we may consider live-in as well. We are hopeful that our daughter's caregiver will become like family to us and hope that on occasion, they will be able to do overnight stays (for additional pay) to allow us to go out of town for business or vacation. In all, we are looking for a dedicated, caring and thoughtful caregiver who can support our families needs while respecting our space. This caregiver will be a compassionate, patient and supportive person in our daughter's life. Caregiver will need to provide a Police Check and be CPR certified before starting the role. We can help facilitate this. We are hopeful to establish a lasting relationship with our support worker/caregiver so that our daughter may have consistent support. Weekly salary is negotiable.
