Looking for a laid back, dedicated, and flexible nanny to start as soon as practicable.
This would be to take care of our 4.5 year old daughter. Her current favourite things include: playing with friends, riding her bike or scooter, going to the park, all types of art (particularly painting), new found love of anything to do with slime (i.e. playing with slime, making slime, watching slime making videos, etc)., baking, soccer, horses (recently introduced to horse-back riding), swimming, as well as being the smart and sassy jokester of the household.
My husband and I work a 4- days- on, 4-days-off schedule. Your start and end times would vary depending on which shifts we are working that week.
Typical start times would be anywhere between 5:30am to 7:30am, or 11:30am, or a 1pm pre-school pick-up.
Typical end times would be either 3pm, 6pm, or 1am.
Our daughter wakes up around 7am and goes to bed at 8pm, so you would have a lot of time to yourself when your shift goes over her sleep time.
We would also need the occasional pick-up or drop-off at pre-school which is a 10 min walk from our house (Wed, Thurs, Fri; 9am - 1pm), ballet class (10 min walk), and gymnastics (12 min drive).
Luckily we have family in the area that can help with child care, so you would get first right of refusal on which shifts you would like to work, then our family will cover the rest.
We need you to work somewhere between 20-40hrs per week, $20/hr. This would be anywhere from 2 to 4 days per week. The amount of hours really just depends on our shift pattern that week and how it overlaps (or doesn't overlap) with pre-school.
Expectations are:
-caring for our child (ensuring she is safe, fed, rested, clean, engaged in activities, using manners, cleaning up after herself, etc. )
-keeping the work space tidy and cleaned up by the time one of us gets home (kitchen and living room area - i. e. dishes cleaned/away, counters cleaned, floor swept, occasional vacuuming - bathrooms you use)
-meal prep (we typically have left overs ready to serve to our child)
We live by the Peace Arch border. There are no busses here so you need your own car.
We also require a criminal record check and references.
We are a laid-back couple who just want the best for our kid and for you to be happy as well while you're here.
If you think we'd make a good fit, please reach out through this website!
