I'm a working mom in my mid-30s who works full-time running two businesses and a general contractor building a house. I work mainly remotely but also go into work several times a week. My husband primarily works outside of the home, although he occasionally works from home about 3x a month. We have a busy household and I'm looking for a reliable, hardworking Mother's Helper to help me around the house and with our upcoming move. Our 2-year-old son attends daycare Monday-Friday, so the majority of the time it will just be me at home while you're here. I'm looking for someone to work 2-4 weekdays per week, sometime between 9am-3pm. I'm flexible on which days you prefer to work and how many days per week, but would like to establish a fairly consistent schedule that works for both of us. Start date: Tuesday September 15th (at the earliest). We're currently preparing to move into our new home in mid October, so a big part of the position over the next couple of months will be helping me get organized, packed and moved. Once we move, I'll also need help unpacking, organizing and setting up our new home. Some of the things I'll need help with include: • Packing and organizing the house for our move • Loading boxes/items into my truck and coming with me to our storage unit to unload • Unpacking and organizing our new home after we move • Laundry, folding and putting things away • Dishes and keeping the kitchen tidy • General tidying, vacuuming and organizing • Restocking/organizing the fridge and pantry I'll generally be home during your shift, so for packing and organizing projects I'll be able to work alongside you and show you exactly what I'd like done. I'm also looking for someone who is comfortable being given tasks and working independently. You should be comfortable lifting and carrying reasonably sized household boxes. We are a non-smoking household, do not use drugs and do not have any pets. We are looking for a Spanish-speaking nanny just on Fridays from 9 am until 1 pm every single Friday. The whole idea is to speak Spanish with Olivia so she can get comfortable and learn. She is being homeschooled, she is 5 years old and doing kindergarten. We will be away on the odd Friday as well and we will have other opportunities for babysitting either during the week or on weekends. Olivia is very much independent and high-energy so suggested activities are going to the park or library, in addition to being at home. There's no cleaning involved but making lunch, and packing a few snacks for her to be dropped off at 1 pm at the gym (about a 10-minute walk from her house).

I am looking for a full-time live out nanny and mother's helper for primarily my newborn but also some occasional playing with my toddler. Our children are 14 and 11 and are largely self-sufficient. They do not need entertaining. They need picking up from school, something good to eat, and someone calm and reliable in the house while they get on with homework and prepare for piano, dance or soccer. The household side is an important part of the role. Depending on what needs attention that day, this could include meal preparation, laundry and changing beds, keeping the kitchen and main living spaces in order, light household cleaning, loading or unloading the dishwasher, groceries and errands, watering plants and the garden, receiving deliveries, and noticing when household staples need replacing. If you genuinely enjoy cooking and are confident preparing healthy family meals, that is a big plus for us. The after-school piece is straightforward. At around 3:00 p.m., you will pick up both children from two nearby schools, bring them home, prepare a snack or early dinner, provide light homework supervision if needed, and help make sure they have what they need for their evening activities. Our 14-year-old is anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts. Strict avoidance in our kitchen is non-negotiable. You must also be comfortable carrying and, if ever necessary, using an EpiPen. We will provide training and make sure you feel confident. You will need a valid driver’s licence and your own reliable car, as both school pickup and occasional errands require driving. Mileage and vehicle expenses related to the job will be reimbursed. Pay will depend on experience. I work from home and will usually be here, but I spend much of the afternoon in meetings.
