In this position in Salmon Arm, You will be working with a fun loving young lady with developmental disabilities in her home - all Training specific will be provided on the job. As you are trained “client and task specifics” on shift, you will learn all aspects of this one on one wotk providing and guiding her daily living activities in her home including assisting her in her personal care (she is biologically 29 but cognitively age 2-6) so it much like the many activities and are at the same level and fun as you would provide as a nanny. It is important that you enjoy a quiet environment, repetition, and are able to take direction so you can eventually work on your own, and follow an exact schedule. All while: Enjoying Disney Princesses, reading stories aloud, plus listening and “exercising” particularly to Mother goose, Barney and Taylor Swift Music is key! Knowledge of individuals with developmental disabilities and diabetes is advantageous - and train on the job the specifics you will need. This job also includes charting of the activities as you provide and follow her established unchanging daily detailed care plans, food prep, light housekeeping, plus provide some computer summary of daily activities. Shifts will be posted every month and after training, the shifts are fairly regularly set and much as listed When applying please confirm your availability to what specific days and times you are available for completing 40 hours a week. plus please specify whether this would be your only position, or supplemental to a second one. Also, please advise when in May you could start (or April) and up to when in august. Person suited to job will be: detailed orientated, reliable, have a good command of English, and able to follow directions of a preset daily plan. CRC and first aide necessary (can be obtained if chosen), plus be able to do without your cell phone when at this quiet no scent, no smoking workplace. This workplace and employees must follows all Public Health Orders past present and future, and the individuals Home rules as well. Proof of vaccination is required and are masks.
