We are expecting our second child in late September and are hoping to find someone who can begin around late August/early September. Our goal is to help our three-year-old daughter build a relationship with her new caregiver before the baby arrives, making the transition as smooth as possible for everyone. The exact schedule can be discussed with the successful candidate and may evolve based on our family's needs. About Our Daughter Our daughter is three years old and is curious, kind, and very active. She thrives with someone who enjoys interacting with children rather than relying on screens. She especially loves: * Arts and crafts * Reading books * Playing outdoors * Visiting local parks * Imaginative play We are a screen-free household during childcare hours, so we're looking for someone who enjoys creating fun, engaging activities. Responsibilities Childcare * Pick up daughter from daycare (5 min walk from home) * Prepare healthy snacks for our daughter * Plan engaging, screen-free activities * Spend plenty of time outdoors at parks and playgrounds * Arts and crafts (bonus if you love coming up with creative projects!) * Read books, play games, and encourage imaginative play * Occasionally assist with bath time Household Support While our daughter is playing independently or napping, we'd appreciate help with household tasks such as: * Folding family and children's laundry * Unloading the dishwasher * Emptying household garbage and recycling * General tidying and house cleaning * Keeping play areas organized After Baby Arrives As our newborn joins the family, responsibilities may also include: * Baby laundry * Washing and sterilizing bottles * Light nursery organization & stocking up items (diapers, wipes etc) * Occasionally caring for the newborn for short periods (typically around an hour) while I take an occasional client meeting or phone call from home I will primarily be home on maternity leave, so this role is very much a partnership in helping our household run smoothly. We're Looking For Someone Who Is * Kind, patient, and dependable * Experienced caring for young children * Comfortable with newborns * Creative and enjoys arts and crafts * Active and loves spending time outdoors * Proactive and able to take initiative without needing constant direction * Comfortable working alongside parents who are home CPR/First Aid certification, ECE certification, and excellent references are considered strong assets. Compensation & Benefits $28-$31/hour, depending on experience, qualifications and fit. This is a payroll position. As the role transitions to full-time (anticipated in mid-October), the successful candidate will become eligible to choose one of the following benefits: * Commuter Benefit – to help offset transportation costs to and from work; or * Extended Health Benefits – to support your personal health and wellness. We'll discuss the details during the interview process to determine which option best suits your needs. To Apply Please send us a brief introduction about yourself, your childcare experience, your availability starting in late August, and any relevant certifications or references. We hope to find someone who is interested in growing with our family and becoming a long-term part of our household. We value open communication, mutual respect, and building a long-term relationship with the person caring for our children.

I am urgently looking for a part-time, live-out nanny to assist with my newborn child and a few essential household activities. The ideal candidate will be able to commence work immediately and be comfortable dedicating between 20 to 30 hours per week to this role. The typical working schedule would involve midday hours on Mondays and Fridays, while on Tuesdays, it will extend to evenings as well. Key responsibilities that will fall under the nanny's purview will include cooking, executing light housekeeping tasks, running errands and handling grocery shopping, doing the child's laundry, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, caring for our pet, and managing household laundry tasks. Having a love for animals and being comfortable with pet care, including taking our dog for walks, would be highly appreciated. It's also essential to note that this role requires a driver's license as the nanny would be expected to use their own car to run various errands. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing the aforementioned tasks and a conviction that they could meet our family's needs to the best of their abilities. While top-tier care for our newborn is our primary concern in this search, we also seek a candidate who can efficiently juggle other household tasks that come with this role. The preferred start date will be as soon as possible for the successful candidate. If you believe you're a suitable fit for this position and its requirements, do not hesitate to apply. We are looking forward to connecting with the right candidate soon.

We have a 21 month old, first baby. Very social active kiddo. Our daughter is usually at daycare M-F 9AM-5PM. I’m not working at the moment but will be going back to work hopefully soon. I’ve posted a job a few times but with my stressed Mom brain I have not been able to get to actually get to interviewing. I’m going to give it another try. I’m hoping to have to get things organized to have a smoother transition back to work. Our friends and family are out of town so it has been difficult keeping up with life as our little gets more and more busy. We also have two friendly cats so we require someone who is okay with having cats around. We are easy-going people. Most of the time I will remain home to meal prep, clean, or catch up on paper work. We require assistance with keeping the home and child things organized including washing dishes, wiping the fridge, keeping the surfaces wiped down, sweeping the floor, changing over/folding laundry, really just help as I will be home and we can do the work together. We are currently looking for afternoon evenings 4 hours 3-7 or 2-6 or 4-8 and 4 hours on Saturday mornings. Anticipated 50-50 house to child minding duties I think that’s good. We will be holding interviews this weekend July 18-19. Please indicate if you are available on those days and when. I look forward to meeting you. i
