Nice to meet you! Our busy family is looking for an experienced nanny to support us Monday - Friday. Guaranteed hours are: 2-6PM with occasional full day support. Start date: January 62024. Please only apply if you have a valid Ontario Driver's License and a vehicle to pick up the children up after school. About us: - Our two boys are ages 3 and 5 (energy, energy, energy!). They go to a local school Monday - Friday. - Mom and Dad work hybrid = half the time at home and half the time downtown Toronto Key Responsibilities: - Pick up the children from school Monday - Friday between 4/4:15pm (school is located in Pickering, 10 minute drive from the home) - Light housekeeping during the day including the Children's laundry - Grocery shopping 1-2 times per week - Scheduling activities afterschool with the children as needed and on PA Days - Meal prep for the family (dinners) as well as cooking meals for the children when they are home for the day and not in school - Preparing healthy snacks for the children for after school - Flexibility on an adhoc basis to pick the children up early from school if they aren't feeling well or need to stay home for any reason - Scheduling activities for PA Days and ability to spend the day with the children - Homework help for older son (ready, math) What you bring: - At least 5 years experience working with ages children 3+ in a Nanny position - Bring an energetic, creative, fun, kind attitude to everything you do - A genuine care and love for children and really want to focus on building a strong bond with our boys - Creative and age appropriate ideation to keep the children busy, engaged and entertained - Clear communicator, ability to quickly problem-solve and escalate communications as needed - Strong collaborator with the family (especially mom) - Ability to receive and share feedback from the school and communicate effectively to parents - Access to your own vehicle and valid Ontario Driver's license - Able to provide Police Background Check - Ability to provide 2-3 references upon request - CPR certificate - OK with cats - ECE or teaching/Montessori training and experience is a strong asset Other: - Time off over the holidays (December) and over March Break If this sounds like you, I would love to hear from you!
