Ottawa - Part time nanny - Experience with newborn required - 15-20 hours a week
As a nanny referral agency, we are currently looking for a reliable, experienced, and consistent nanny / mother's helper for a family with a newborn. The position is available to start as soon as possible and is intended to be a long-term arrangement. The family is ideally looking for support every weekday for approximately 3 to 4 hours per day (15 to 20 hours per week). The schedule will be flexible and may vary depending on the family's needs and the nanny’s availability. The primary responsibility will be caring for a newborn who will be only a few weeks old at the start of the position. The nanny should be experienced and confident with young infants, ensuring their safety at all times, following their established routine, and providing nurturing care and age-appropriate early learning activities. In addition to childcare, the family is looking for someone who is happy to assist with light household duties related to the baby and the general upkeep of the home, including: Tidying and organizing common living areas Daily household resets Kitchen dishes Vacuuming Baby and household laundry, including folding and putting away clothing Light meal preparation The family has a German Shepherd, so the nanny must be comfortable around dogs. The family is hoping to find someone who is dependable, proactive, trustworthy, organized, and genuinely enjoys caring for newborns and supporting families during the early stages of parenthood. An ECE certification would be considered a significant asset. This is a declared self-employed position. The hourly rate would be between 20 and 23$ / hour with a bit of flexibility for an ECE or really qualified and experienced candidate.
