Responsibilities: - Provide childcare before and after school on weekdays, - Provide childcare on 1-2 weekends/month and possibly holidays/long-weekends, or PD days. - Drop off and pick up from school - Take to extracurriculars (music lessons, swimming, skating, gymnastics, martial arts, after school programs, etc.) - Help children with homework and music practice. - Putting children to bed when parents are both working late - Meal preparation for entire family including packing children's lunches - Housekeeping: cooking, maintaining inventory of household goods, a meal plan, and providing grocery list, grocery shopping (credit card is provided), laundry for entire household, cleaning the entire home on a weekly basis is requested but negotiable - Nanny expected to complete house management tasks and rest breaks while children are at school or activities and manage their time efficiently Expected Hours: - Variable hours per week, 35 - 44h/week with shifts most often during the week and 1-2 weekends worked per month - Most shifts are between 8-11 hours, with nanny to arrange their own breaks during the day - most shifts are between 6:30am - 5:00pm, with children at school between 8:30 and 3:30 - Overnight care either very, very rare or never required - Occasionally (up to several times per month) may be asked to stay to 8-9pm and put children to bed, but such shifts would start later in the day (e.g., work 12pm - 8pm) Compensation: - Initial offer of $24/hr which may be increased based on performance - Reimbursement for driving own vehicle to be provided
