We are moving to Rockcliffe in the Fall and leaving behind our wonderful nanny of 18 years who is retiring. We also have 2 grown daughters who are studying out of province. We are looking for a nanny who would like to help us out with our 4 year old daughter and run our household. Our daughter loves to swim and to play outside. She also loves to bake and do crafts. She goes to Elmwood School in Rockcliffe and needs to be walked or driven to school Monday to Friday. I work Monday to Thursday and will pick her up myself Friday afternoons. Fridays, you can work half days and finish early. You will be expected to clean, cook, do laundry, shop, help with homework and manage the household. A shopping budget and a gas allowance will be provided. We also have a very gentle Labrador retriever who will need to be walked once a day. My husband speaks English. I’m bilingual. Experience, candidates with early childhood education credentials and French as a first or second language are a plus but personality, honesty, flexibility and your love of children are what’s most important to us. 7:30-6:00Monday to Thursday 1 hour off for lunch when our child is at school 8:00 to 12:00 on Fridays 42H per week Starting August 28th Our previous nanny was earning $24/hour, had 6 weeks of paid vacation and 2 days of paid sick leave per year. Our daughter is a kind funny active girl who loves her after-school activities during the school year and after-camp activities in the summer! We're looking for someone who is experienced in childcare to pick her up from school in our vehicle, bring her to her team practices and athletic activities in our car, and supervise her homework. A clean driving record, G license, and comfort with driving is a must. The candidate should have first aid, CPR, and a criminal record check. The hours are Monday to Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. The end time varies between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. (depending on her class schedule) for about a 20-25 hour week at $20.00/hour. We live in Rockcliffe Park Village (close to Ashbury College) and our house is accessible by public transport. Messaging us through the site is the easiest way to reach us.
