We are looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper to work at our home Monday - Friday. The shift time is either 2-8 pm or 3-9pm (preferred). Duties including minding our children 4 and 7 years old, family laundry, cooking meals, changing bed linens weekly, bathing and dressing children, preparing meals for children, making school lunches and light housekeeping and tidying. We have a separate cleaner that comes regularly. We live in a house near lougheed highway and Bainbridge. I am a teacher and my husband is an occupational therapist. We are looking for a long term nanny/housekeeper for our family. Our kids call our nanny “aunty” or “tita” and have to show respect - this is part of our culture and values. The only reason we are hiring is our nanny is going back to school to become a nurse - she stayed with us for 5 years. We hope to start with a phone call and if there is a good fit we can arrange an interview with time to meet our family at home.

The responsibilities for this role include light housekeeping, cooking and preparing meals for the child, managing the child's laundry, ironing child's clothing, and bathing and dressing him up. A keen observation to special dietary rules is required, in case of any such need in the future. Also, maintaining the kitchen in a clean and orderly state is part of the job. Applicants should ideally have previous nanny or childcare experience, specifically with children aged 1-2 years, as that's the age of my son. I am passionate about providing my child with nurturing care and an enriching environment, and I seek an individual who shares this passion. This sums up to about 30-40 hours per week, depending on our needs and your availability. We are flexible, and the most important thing is that you're able to adapt to our family dynamic. Whilst a driver's license is not required, we are specifically looking for someone responsible and mindful to perform the daily tasks. These include cooking and preparing meals for the kids, doing the children's laundry, keeping the kitchen tidy, helping with the family laundry and light housekeeping. We are open to both live-in or live-out arrangements, but prefer a live-out nanny as the need for overnight care is not a frequent requirement for us. Please note, having access to a car and driving will not be necessary for this role. The focus is primarily providing care and maintaining a safe, clean and loving environment for one of the children requiring care.
