We're a family with two kids 8 and 10 looking for a flexible but realiable nanny to join our family. Given the kids' ages, after-school activities and the fact that the mom works from home, we are looking for someone who can be flexible beyond playing with the kids and really support the mom in other activities around the house. We have a housekeeper who comes twice per week so cleaning the entire house is not needed but we are looking for someone who will help us keep the house organized. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting the parents in everything related to the care and wellbeing of the kids including but not limited to: * Providing snack for the kids when they arrive from school * Going to the park or doing activities with the kids as needed * Supporting kids with homework * Getting backpacks ready every night * Creating a fun atmosphere that encourages the kids to play in the afternoons * Picking up the kids from school when needed * Taking the kids to activities when needed * Keeping the kids' rooms and closets organized * If alone with the kids, prepare food for them Supporting the parents with house related activities including: * Helping with the laundry for the family (~twice per week) * Folding and organizing the clothes in the respective closets * Maintain the laundry room clean and organized * Keeping the house organized * Organizing groceries (i.e. washing fruits and veggies, cutting and storing, organizing the pantry) * Food prep and assistance with light cooking as needed * Organizing seasonal decoration (i.e. patio in the summer, putting away christmas decorations, etc) * Empty the dishwasher as needed * When mom has to travel, assistance might be required early in the morning. Availability for this isn't required but would be a plus! The typical schedule could be as follows: Mondays: 2 - 7pm Tuesdays: 3 - 7pm (or 8 as needed) Wednesdays: 3 - 7pm Thursdays: 2 - 6pm Fridays: as needed We also usually require help one evening per week, typically Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We will coordinate in advance.
