Job Description We are looking for a childcare provider to take care of our 2 children (1.5 and 3.5 y/o). One child needs particular care due to his health condition. Address and Work location: Montreal, QC, H3J 2S9 Title Private Home Child Care Provider Duties: • Supervise and care for the children of different ages at our residence. • Plan and oversee the children’s activities as instructed. • Bring a child medical appointments and follow instructions of the language therapist • Prepare and serve meals for the children. • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents • Create and ensure a safe environment at our residence. • Prepare children for rest periods • Organize activities such as games and outings for the children. • Clean and maintain the house as needed. • Other related tasks. Required Skills • Have completed a secondary school diploma attesting at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education or • have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school OR • 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver, including at least 6 consecutive months with same employer Qualifications: • Be reliable and punctual • Show initiative • Have good judgement • Have excellent organizational skills Language Requirement: Knowledge of English (oral) Employment conditions, salary and hours Salary of $19 an hour for 30 hours per week Monday – Friday from 1pm to 7pm Social Advantages: • 10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec .
