Live-Out Evening Housekeeper / Household Cleaner (20–30 hours/week) — Family of 6 We are a busy family of 6 looking for a reliable, detail-oriented live-out evening housekeeper to help keep our home clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is primarily a cleaning and household support role (not a nanny position). Kid-related tasks are limited to preparing simple meals/snacks and supporting the evening flow while parents are home. Schedule: • Evenings, 20–30 hours per week • Typical shifts: 4–6 hours per shift, 3–5 evenings per week • Exact days/times to be discussed based on availability Main Responsibilities (Primary Focus: Cleaning + Home Upkeep): • Clean the entire house on a rotating plan (bathrooms, floors/vacuum/mop, dusting, surfaces, bedrooms, etc.) • Light housekeeping daily (tidying common areas, putting items away, general resets) • Keep the kitchen tidy during and after meals (dishes/dishwasher, wipe counters, reset kitchen) Laundry & Clothing Care: • Children’s laundry (wash/dry/fold/put away) • Family laundry as needed • Iron children’s clothing as needed Limited Kid Support (Secondary): • Prepare simple meals/snacks for the kids as needed • Support the evening routine while parents are present (not responsible for childcare supervision as the primary duty) Not Required: • Driving/transporting children • Running errands/grocery shopping • Pet care • Homework help • Bathing/dressing children • Special dietary meal planning Requirements: • Proven experience in housekeeping/home cleaning (private home, hotel, or professional cleaning) • Reliable, punctual, and strong communication • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently • Comfortable with laundry and ironing • 2 references required • Willing to complete a background check • Must be willing to be paid on payroll and provide the required information for us to claim applicable federal/provincial tax credits for childcare/household services (legal work status and ability to be declared for tax purposes) To Apply: Please message with: A short introduction Your availability (days/times) and how many hours/week you can commit to Your housekeeping/cleaning experience Your expected hourly rate Two references
