Job Description We are looking for a childcare provider to take care of our 2 children (3 y/o child and a soon-to-be born baby). Address and Work location: OUTREMONT QC H2V 2V1 Title Private Home Child Care Provider Duties: • Supervise and care for the children of different ages at our residence. • Plan and oversee the children’s activities as instructed. • Prepare children for rest periods • Take care for a newborn, bottle feed and change diapers • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children • Organize activities such as games and outings for the children. • Prepare and serve meals for the children. • Clean and maintain the house as needed. • Create and ensure a safe and nurturing environment at our residence. • Other related tasks. Required Skills • Have completed a secondary school diploma attesting at least 11 years of full-time elementary and secondary education or • have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school OR • 1 year of continuous paid full-time experience as a caregiver, including at least 6 consecutive months with same employer Qualifications: • Be reliable and punctual • Show initiative • Have good judgement • Have excellent organizational skills • Caring and nurturing Live-in Option Available: Option for the Child Care Provider to live-in at the residence where care is required at no cost. Language Requirement: Knowledge of English (oral) Employment conditions, salary and hours Salary of $17.00 an hour for 40 hours per week Monday – Friday from 7am to 10am and from 2pm to 7pm Social Advantages: • 10 days of vacation per year as per Quebec . • Private health insurance until RAMQ eligibility.
