We are currently looking for a part-time Nanny to help our busy family. My husband Matt and I have 2 sons--Jackson who is 4 and in JK and Myles who is currently 12 weeks old. My husband has long work days downtown and I am currently on maternity leave but will be returning to work full-time in September. Our most immediate need is care for Myles during a trip I have planned in the first week of April. This will consist of 3- 8 hour work days. We would like to trial someone a number of times before then to make sure they are a good fit for the boys and our family. Beyond April we are open to a weekly or bi-weekly booking with the potential for more work in the summer when Jackson is out of school and when I return to work. Jackson is an energetic and sensitive 4 year old who loves to build legos, magnetic tiles, coloring and dinosaurs. We are looking for someone who can keep him busy with activities and uses peaceful parenting strategies. Myles is a very sweet and calm baby who is a cooperative sleeper. The person we hire will need to be very experienced with infants, and young children, comfortable with pets ( we do have a dog, an 8 year old Vizsla named Maximus who is like our 3rd child) and is creative, caring and compassionate while reinforcing a specific schedule. We require anyone we interview to provide a vulnerable sector check and 1-2 references (if successful in the screening, we will reimburse you for the cost of the vulnerable sector check).
