An engaging, calm and patient Nanny is needed for a lovely 3 year old and their 1 year old sibling. We are looking for an experienced nanny who can pick the toddler up from daycare, take them for walks to local parks and activities and conduct their afternoon/evening routines, laid out by their parents. The Nanny will very rarely care for both children at one time. The family has a full-time nanny who is responsible for the 1 year old. There will be an overlap in the day when both nannies are working. The part-time nanny will be responsible for assisting the family with the busy after work, dinner, bath time and bedtime routine. Household duties include- doing dishes, meal prep, and laundry not only for the child but also for the family This position will being in Oakville from Sept 30-November and then the family will be moving to Etobicoke long term as of Nov 1. This family is vegetarian and no meat or fish is consumed in the home. Location:  Rebecca and Third Line, Oakville (from the end of Sept-Nov) Islington and Dundas W, Etobicoke from Nov onwards Child's age: 3 year old and occasionally their younger sibling Start Date: September 30, 2024 Contract length: 1 year contract to start. The family is looking for a long term commitment Schedule: Monday to Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm and 1 weekend day per week, either Saturdays or Sundays for 5 hours. Total 25 hours per week Hourly Rate: $23-$27/hour gross Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsible care for child in a safe and nurturing environment. Engage child in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, crafts, and educational play. Prepare and serve, meals and snacks for child, ensuring they receive proper nutrition. Family meal prep Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as, family laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc. Conduct the child’s daily schedule include nap routines put in place by the parents Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Requirements/Qualifications 3+ years of Nanny experience in a private home 3+ years experience with toddlers/children under 4 years of age 5+ years of experience working with children Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines and schedules. Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
