We are a warm and welcoming family based in Markham, Ontario (near Hwy 7 and Ninth Line), seeking a dedicated and caring live-out nanny to join our household. We have a 5-year-old son on the autism spectrum (ASD) who is affectionate, playful, and thrives in a calm, structured environment. Role Overview We are looking for someone who can provide a nurturing, stable, and attentive environment for our son. Responsibilities include: - Engaging him in play and developmental activities (reading, interactive play, etc.) - Assisting with daily routines, including diaper changes (not yet potty trained) - Supporting emotional regulation during moments of dysregulation - Ensuring a safe and supervised environment at all times Ideal Candidate: - Patient, calm, and positive personality (he responds well to warm and engaging caregivers) - Experience with autism or special needs is strongly preferred - Strong communication skills (he is minimally verbal, so clear verbal and non-verbal communication is important) - Fluent in English - Minimal exposure to sickness during non-working hours Additional Details: - Hours would be after school Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:30pm-8pm) and some time on weekends (if available). - We are a supportive and involved family and will work closely with you to ensure success If you are compassionate, dependable, and interested in making a meaningful impact in a child’s life, we would love to hear from you.
