I’m a single mom of two energetic girls (ages 5 and 3) looking for a warm, reliable, and caring nanny to become a long-term part of our family’s support system. While this is primarily a live-out position, I’m also open to discussing a live-in arrangement with the right long-term candidate if it’s a great fit for both of us. The ideal candidate is someone looking for a long-term role who can provide consistent support for our family. Most weeks will involve before and after school/daycare care, with occasional evenings and overnight care when I travel for work. Flexibility and reliability are especially important. Responsibilities may include: * School and daycare drop-offs and pickups * Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children * Helping with homework, playtime, and bedtime routines * Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying toys, children’s laundry, etc.) * Occasional overnight care while I’m away for work * Letting our small, very friendly Chihuahua outside for bathroom breaks (no regular walks required) I’m looking for someone who: * Has experience caring for young children, including overnight care * Is kind, dependable, organized, and proactive * Has a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation * Can provide excellent references * Can successfully complete a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check * Is interested in building a long-term relationship with our family Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience, availability, and responsibilities. A live-in arrangement can also be discussed with the right candidate. If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you. Please send me a brief introduction about yourself, your childcare experience, your availability, and any relevant qualifications.

Greetings! I am seeking a dynamic and energetic nanny to provide summer childcare for my 6-year-old twins, a boy and a girl. This part-time, live-out role will begin immediately, requiring a commitment of around 30 hours per week. The twins love being outside, enjoying activities like running, climbing, swinging, and biking. Therefore, your work will mostly involve accompanying them to local playgrounds or the Emera Oval on most days. Alongside, you will be responsible for fostering their creativity through crafts, engaging board and card games, and reading books. Visiting the library by bus would be a part of your routine, further bolstering their love for reading. Meal preparation for the kids, including lunch and snacks, will be a part of your daily responsibilities. Also, you'll need to assist with tidying up post playtime and aid them in getting ready for their outdoor activities. This would encompass applying sunscreen, filling their water bottles, and ensuring they're appropriately dressed for the weather. The ideal candidate for this role will not require a driver's license, as automobile use is not pertinent to the position. However, your responsibilities will include transporting the children, mostly in the form of accompanying them on public transport or walks to the library or playground. This role is more than just a nanny job, as it entails planning and organizing engaging and fun activities and events for the twins. While helping with their homework and keeping the kitchen tidy post meals is also part of the role, the essence lies in creating a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. If you adore children, love spending time outdoors, appreciate the joys of crafts and reading, and are looking to spend your summer engaging with two active and vibrant twins, then this position may be perfect for you. Let's connect to discuss the opportunity further!

My ex-husband and I are both healthcare workers and work rotating shifts, so our schedules vary and we often start work early in the morning. Because of our shift work, we wouldn’t need childcare every Monday through Friday, as we both have weekdays off from time to time. Ideally, I would provide a monthly schedule based on our needs for that month, and I expect I could give you at least a couple of months’ notice. I anticipate needing care approximately 10–15 days per month. A typical day would involve arriving around 7:00 a.m. to help the girls get ready for school and drop them off. They would then need to be picked up at 2:15 p.m. and cared for until approximately 6:00–7:00 p.m., as my finish time at work can vary.

I’m seeking a reliable part-time nanny who can assist with the care of my two children, aged between 3 and 9 years. One of your main responsibilities would be to pick up my children from their downtown Dartmouth elementary school and safely transport them back to our home. It should be noted that our residence is located within walking distance of the school. The work schedule requires your assistance in the middle of the day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Typically, you'll be working less than 20 hours per week. The job will involve childcare for about 2 - 2.5 hours each workday. However, there's the possibility of extending your hours to 3 - 3.5 if you are open to performing some light housekeeping chores. To be successful in this role, you would need to have a valid driver's license and you'll be required to use your own car. While direct experience with children within our kids' age range is a plus, the most critical attributes are trustworthiness, reliability, and a caring nature. Your duties will include light housekeeping, children's laundry, gathering kids from school, and helping to keep the kitchen tidy. This is a live-out position, so maintaining a safe commuting distance would be a benefit. This position is intended to start from the 3rd of September, 2026.

We are a warm and loving family moving to Halifax this summer, and will be in need of a live out nanny from the end of July/August 1, 2026 onwards for the next year at least, and probably longer. We're flexible in terms of the hours and days - but I anticipate about 30 hours a week. Pay can also be negotiated. It's much more important for me to find the right fit for us - someone kind, respectful, honest, clean, vaccinated, punctual, and active and fun who loves to play with and teach children. CPR certification is required but training can be arranged if we are a good fit. I would need help around the house with light tasks as well (my daughter naps midday), like laundry, putting away groceries, washing dishes, etc. If you speak Hindi or Punjabi that is a big plus as my daughter is bilingual, but not a necessity. If you are nurturing, kind, and responsible we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to message us if you're interested in this opportunity. Thank you so much for considering joining our family!
