I’m a single mom of two energetic girls (ages 5 and 3) looking for a warm, reliable, and caring nanny to become a long-term part of our family’s support system. While this is primarily a live-out position, I’m also open to discussing a live-in arrangement with the right long-term candidate if it’s a great fit for both of us. My ex-husband and I are both healthcare workers and work rotating shifts, so our schedules vary and we often start work early in the morning. Because of our shift work, we wouldn’t need childcare every Monday through Friday, as we both have weekdays off from time to time. I anticipate needing care approximately 10–15 days per month. A typical day would involve arriving around 7:00 a.m. to help the girls get ready for school and drop them off. They would then need to be picked up at 2:15 p.m. and cared for until approximately 6:00–7:00 p.m., as my finish time at work can vary.

I’m seeking a reliable part-time nanny who can assist with the care of my two children, aged between 3 and 9 years. One of your main responsibilities would be to pick up my children from their downtown Dartmouth elementary school and safely transport them back to our home. It should be noted that our residence is located within walking distance of the school. The work schedule requires your assistance in the middle of the day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Typically, you'll be working less than 20 hours per week. The job will involve childcare for about 2 - 2.5 hours each workday. However, there's the possibility of extending your hours to 3 - 3.5 if you are open to performing some light housekeeping chores. To be successful in this role, you would need to have a valid driver's license and you'll be required to use your own car. While direct experience with children within our kids' age range is a plus, the most critical attributes are trustworthiness, reliability, and a caring nature. Loving couple with two children (boy 4, girl 6) in south-end Halifax hiring a fulltime nanny for 40-45 hours per week. Our ideal nanny has a calm, loving, empathetic, and positive demeanor, works well in a team environment, adores children, and is looking for a minimum of an 18 months- 2-year commitment. Looking for someone who can watch my 9 year old son who is autistic. He is a very sweet boy who is mostly non verbal who uses a tablet for communication. He can sometime be a flight risk and is not fully potty trained, he is in pull-ups and may need to be bathed. He has some food sensitivities but overall has a pretty good diet, he loves fruits, and pasta, pizza, and is even willing to try new foods (sometimes lol) He loves to play out in our backyard on our playground and he loves swimming at the wave pool! He enjoys puzzles, and running around, arts and crafts and much more! I’m looking for someone who can be patient and understanding and who will get him involved in activities.

We are a warm and loving family moving to Halifax this summer, and will be in need of a live out nanny from the end of July/August 1, 2026 onwards for the next year at least, and probably longer. We're flexible in terms of the hours and days - but I anticipate about 30 hours a week. Pay can also be negotiated. It's much more important for me to find the right fit for us - someone kind, respectful, honest, clean, vaccinated, punctual, and active and fun who loves to play with and teach children. CPR certification is required but training can be arranged if we are a good fit. I would need help around the house with light tasks as well (my daughter naps midday), like laundry, putting away groceries, washing dishes, etc. If you speak Hindi or Punjabi that is a big plus as my daughter is bilingual, but not a necessity.
