Live-In Nanny – Part-Time (Approx 30–40 hrs/wk) Location: Gatineau Start Date: 2026. Exact dates TBD
I’m looking for a reliable, caring, and organized live-in nanny to help care for my son while I travel for work during the week, several times a year. He’s an easygoing, independent child (age 8) who’s healthy, sleeps well through the night, and follows a consistent routine. Main Responsibilities: • Pick up from school between 4–5 PM (Mon–Fri) • Prepare a simple dinner and help with light homework • Supervise evening routine (shower, bedtime by 8 PM) • Morning routine: wake-up, light breakfast, and school drop-off for 8 AM • Prepare a few meals/snacks during travel periods • Light housekeeping (tidy kitchen, laundry for my son, keeping shared areas neat) • If time allows, engage in a light after-school or pre-bedtime activity — he loves having a bit of fun once his homework is done! Schedule & Hours: • Approx. 30–40 hours per week, mainly evenings and overnights (Mon–Fri) • Typically begins Monday evening and ends Friday evening • Some weeks may end earlier (e.g., Thursday morning) depending on my travel schedule • Daytime hours (between drop-off and pick-up) are free for you to use as you wish • Occasional weekend shifts throughout the year (for one or two nights or late returns) when I’m away for personal reasons (not on the same weeks I would be travelling for work) Requirements: • Valid driver’s license (a car will be provided for work use) • Experience caring for children ages 6–9 preferred • Responsible, dependable, and warm personality • Comfortable with light cooking and household upkeep Additional Details: • This is a live-in position with a private guest room provided • Groceries for my son (and for you while working) are covered • Not a full-time role, but steady weekly hours with flexibility If you’re a kind, trustworthy person who enjoys working with school-age children, can offer a safe and nurturing environment, and are open to the occasional weekend shift, I’d love to hear from you.
