We are a professional family based in Riverdale seeking a reliable, caring, and flexible childcare provider for our 6-month-old daughter. Both parents have demanding careers (physician and lawyer), and we are looking for someone we can depend on for on-call and occasional childcare support. Position Overview This is an as-needed role with the potential to develop into a more regular part-time schedule for the right candidate. Flexibility and responsiveness are key, as care will be required on short notice at times. Responsibilities: Daycare pickup (when needed) Providing attentive and nurturing care at home Feeding and basic infant care Engaging in age-appropriate play and activities Supervising our child in a safe and supportive environment Occasional evening and weekend babysitting When Care May Be Needed: When our child is sent home from daycare Sick days when daycare attendance is not possible Backup care when we are unable to leave work Evening or weekend childcare as required Ideal Candidate Experienced in caring for infants Dependable, punctual, and responsive Comfortable with flexible, on-call scheduling Warm, patient, and attentive CPR/First Aid certification is an asset Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred (for daycare pickup) Location-Riverdale (Edmonton) Compensation Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications.
