I work as a doula, and I need to have access to someone who can care for my kids when I am called to attend a birth if my husband is out of town and my usual childcare person is unavailable. The shifts would be short-notice and very irregular, happening only when a client is in labour and lasting an unknown number of hours (I would inform you of estimated due dates so the shifts would not be totally out of the blue, but birth is unpredictable). This may require some overnight shifts as a result. No housework would be required besides preparing meals for the kids and tidying up after, but bedtime duties might need to be included depending on when and for how long my clients are in labour.
