Located close to Burquitlam Skytrain station, our little family of 3 (plus our dog Pepsi), are looking for a fun, flexible and experienced Nanny to care for our 15 month old son. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, cooking meals together, having dance parties, and taking our dog for walks. My husband (Matt) currently works as an Environmental Engineer, and upon my return to work, I’ll be working from home as a Learning Designer. Our dog Pepsi is an 11 year old rescue from Thailand; a dog that loves his personal space and walks in the forest. (You will NOT be required to care for Pepsi.) DESCRIPTION & MUST HAVES: We are looking for a calm, patient, and creative individual who is comfortable working with an active and very playful toddler. Someone who will encourage curiosity, promote exploration, and be okay getting dirty. Your primary focus will include caring for our son, prepping our son’s meals/snacks, changing nappies, and having fun. From time to time we may also ask for help tidying up, washing dishes, and doing some of our son’s laundry. - Parking is available (10 minute walk to Burquitlam Skytrain) - First Aid and CPR training considered an asset - Must be non-smoker - References and police check required TIMING: In preparation for my return to work in November, we would like to slowly transition from 8 to 24 hours a week beginning in September. We can discuss what this looks like to ensure the right fit and hours for all parties. Below is an idea of the hours we're looking at: September 13 - October 10: - 8 hours per week (2 days, 4 hours per day) - Tues, Wed or Thurs (we can decide the days and specific times that work best) October 11 - 31 - 16 hours per week (2 days, 8 hours per day) - 8:00 AM - 4:00PM (Tues, Wed, or Thursday) November 1 and onward: - 24 hours per week (3 days, 8 hours per day) - 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday to Thursday FINAL NOTES: As the person caring for our child, you will be an important person in our son's life - and ours.
