My husband and I are both back to work full time and are looking for someone reliable and experienced who is a safe driver, ideally with your own transportation, and who can commit to starting with approximately 15 hours a week, possibly going up to full time hours in the future depending on whether there are additional tasks you can take on in our household. There will also be additional hours available for occasional weekend/evening babysitting, spending the day if one or both kids are sick or have holidays and are therefore out of school/daycare, errand running (grocery shopping, laundry, house cleaning, meal prep etc.) and the potential to stay overnight sometimes with the kids if we need to go out of town on business trips. Details: We are a family of four with two young boys (18 months and 4 years old). We have a dog as well, so you need to be ok with pets and ideally can help with short daily walks. We're willing to be flexible with the right candidate, but we foresee needing someone M-F from around 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm to start. You would help with taking the dog for a short walk, picking up one or both children from preschool/daycare, bringing them home and preparing/serving snacks and/or dinner, helping with bath time and playtime and potentially helping with meal prep. You'd be welcome to join us for dinner each night and then helping with bedtime routines for one/both kids depending on our work schedules. Our ideal candidate would have the flexibility to stay later some nights if needed or to come on occasional weekends or school holidays for childcare coverage. We are looking for someone we feel comfortable leaving the kids with if/when we need to travel out of town as well, so maturity, experience and trust are paramount. Experience with toddlers and infants is required, as is a drivers license with a clean driver record, as well as child CPR and first aid certification.
