About Us I’m a single dad working from home on 7.5 acres with woods and plenty of space to play and explore. My two young sons love being outside, reading stories, and trying new games and activities. I need an extra pair of hands so I can focus on work while they keep exploring and learning. What You’ll Do * Play, read, craft, and invent games with the boys * Lead outdoor fun—forest walks, backyard games, scavenger hunts, trampoline time, and pitching tents for mini-campouts * Join our outings to parks, the community pool, seasonal festivals, and the occasional family dinner * Prepare snacks and simple meals; handle basic routines * Keep play areas tidy and the boys’ laundry and bedding clean I’m always nearby if you need backup. Schedule * 2–3 weekdays (preferably Tue & Fri plus either Mon or Thu, depending on the week) * Every second weekend (1–2 days) * Start and end times are flexible—perfect for a student on summer break or anyone with a variable schedule Who You Are * Love kids and have the patience and energy to keep up with them * Curious and eager to learn about child development, teaching, or cooking * Able to stick to a regular weekly/fortnightly pattern * Has a driver's licence or is local and/or can get a ride. * Training in early childhood education and CPR is a bonus Perks * Home-cooked meals (plus the occasional take-out treat) * Quiet spots to relax or study, with an extra computer and desk * Guest room with a comfy bed for optional overnight stays—no need to drive back and forth if you’d rather sleep over * Bonfires, BBQs, trampoline sessions, tent sleep-outs, and plenty of fresh air * Mentorship—happy to share what I know about startups, publishing, and more Compensation 3–4 shifts per week, starting at ~$500 per week, with room to grow as responsibilities do.
